This is a basic movement that helps you escape from the bottom position. It involves moving your hips and legs in a coordinated manner to create space between you and your opponent. You will constantly use this!


Guard retention:



This is the ability to maintain your guard position and prevent your opponent from passing it. It’s important to learn this move as it will help you stay in control of the fight.



Triangle choke:



This is a submission move that involves trapping your opponent’s head and arm between your legs. It’s a versatile move that can be used from various positions.


Americana:



This is a shoulder lock that involves twisting your opponent’s arm behind their back. It’s a great move to use when you’re in the top position.


Kimura:

This is another shoulder lock that involves bending your opponent’s arm behind their back. It’s a versatile move that can be used from various positions.


Guillotine choke:


This is a chokehold that involves wrapping your arm around your opponent’s neck and squeezing. It’s a great move to use when your opponent is in a vulnerable position.
